// About

Confrontational Coffee is simply an Asian Drama fansite. This is not a place for critical analysis and reviews of dramas. Instead, I just wanted to make a place where I can share or talk about whatever dramas I happen to like and maybe list why.

I have seen so many dramas over the past 11 years that it is hard not to notice all the common plot devices drama writers use to develop their stories. I decided that it would be fun to catalog or tag all these dramas with their plot devices just to see how common these things are, and to maybe help people who like a certain type of plot find other dramas that are similar.

For example, an alarming number of Korean drama heroines end up living in a rooftop apartment. Do you like this sort of plot development? Is it really as common as it seems to be? Now you can see how many dramas I have found that have this particular circumstance. Exciting, eh? Yeah, I know.

I also get asked a lot about what dramas I like and would recommend. I figure that by writing up some general descriptions for various series here, I can have a nice place to point people when asked this question. That way, people can sort through series and find what would appeal to them.
