This is a lovely pencilboard featuring Mizuki, Nakatsu, Sano, and the dog Yujiro. The board is by movic, and the item number is 1198, meaning the board was made in November of 1998. It is translucent, so you can see through it. I love the picture, Nakatsu is so cute in his froggy kero-hooded raincoat!
This is illustration book so beautiful! We get the artwork used for all of the manga covers, phone cards, collector items, cd covers, furoku, etc. It also includes the monochrome artwork used for the individual chapter cover pages from when each chapter was published in Hana Yume. Finally, it also included the collor illustrations from Nakajo-sensei's other works- Missing Piece, and Yume Miru Happa, as well as some other random color illustrations. If you like the artwork of HanaKimi, you must get this book!
I love this! It's the 2000 HanaKimi Calendar! This is a wonderful find for HanaKimi fans! This has 13 full color manga illustrations (many of which I have ssanned and are lurking in my images section). There is one page for each month, and a page that has the picture from the cover, but without the calendar logo/text, and has all of the months around it. Also included with this calendar is a sheet of cute Hanakimi stickers! Wai! Finally, I think it is extremely cool that all of the characters' birthdays are noted on the calendar throughout the year :)
It took me a while, but I finally managed to get my hands on this lovely item- the HanaKimi drama cd! This cd was available as a part of a special mail-in offer to Japan residents from Hana to Yume. The cd features a cd case-cover with nice art on the front of Mizuki, Sano, and Nakatsu, and a pic on the back of Nanba-senpai and Umeda-sensei. The cd jacket has a cute picture of mizuki on the cover, and contains character stats and bios. Also included is a cute little paper notepad with a color cover that matches the cd case cover. The drama on the CD itself consists mainly of a production of Romeo and Juliet as performed by Mizuki's dorm. It's very funny :) Mizuki is cast as Juliet, and Sano as Romeo. They are required to do a kiss on stage during the play, but events conspire to keep them apart! (namely a jealous Nakatsu and a stage-hog Masao-sempai) Mizuki is terrified of kissing Sano on stage, but doesn't see any way around it!
The drama voice cast is as follows:
Ashiya Mizuki: Noriko Kuwashima
Sano Izumi: Atsushi Kisaichi
Nakatsu Shuuichi: Shoutarou Morikubo
Nanba Minami: Miki Shinichiro
Umeda Hokuto: Ichijou Kazuya
Himeshima Masao: Koyasu Takehito
Wai! Wai! I managed to get the 2nd HanaKimi Drama CD! Unlike the first one, which was only available through
a special offer, this CD is much easier to find. It contains three drama stories and a vocal song sung by Mizuki!
Once again, the seiyuu are the same:
Ashiya Mizuki: Noriko Kuwashima
Sano Izumi: Atsushi Kisaichi
Nakatsu Shuuichi: Shoutarou Morikubo
Nanba Minami: Miki Shinichiro
Umeda Hokuto: Ichijou Kazuya
Himeshima Masao: Koyasu Takehito
Yahoo! Here is a 3rd HanaKimi drama CD. It looks so cute! It is actually called cd II because technically the first CD was only available as a special mail-in offer. This is the 2nd one that is freely available to the public. Unfortunately I am too broke to actually get this one. I am not sure who the voice cast members are in this one.
This lovely item is the HanaKimi character book! It's about 105 pages long and contains color versions of some of the manga illustrations, a character orginazational/relationship chart, pages of character profiles and descriptions in black and white, the diagrams of the dormroom layout and school uniform from the manga, a school year calendar of events and images from the manga that go with each set of events, a color section showing the covers of Hana to Yume that have HanaKimi on the covers, color pictures of some HanaKimi furoku and goods (I want these!), information on the drama CDs, character development sketches, a preview of upcoming characters including Umeda-sensei when he was 17 and Alex, info on Nakajo-sensei's other manga series, brief comments and character sketches from other Hana to Yume artists fo HanaKimi characters (like Mizuki drawn by the artist of Fruitbasket, Nakatsu drawn by the author of Tokyo Crazy Paradise etc), some comments from Nakajo-sensei's assistants, and finally a short HanaKimi manga story featuring the Umeda/Nanba family. As you can see, this character book ROCKS!
Aren't these pretty? They are just 3 of the many HanaKimi Telephone Cards that have been released. Usually these are offered as part of special mail-in offers through Hana to Yume magazine. Unfortunately I don't own these. I really wish I did though :) You can view more of the cards by clicking HERE
Furoku are the cute little free items you get in shoujo manga magazines. Common items include notepads, photo albums, posters, calendars, etc. Every issue has one or 2 little items from different series currently running in the magazine. Here are a few of the free HanaKimi goodies that have been given away in Hana to Yume.
This awesome letter set comes with a really nice flexible clear plastic spiral binder that has a picture of Mizuki on the front, and Sano/Nakatsu on the back. The spiral part inside can be snapped open and closed so you can insert some of the cute Hanakimi binder paper that comes with the set, as well as the three full color dividers. (The dividers feature pictures of Sano/Mizuki/Nakatsu, Sano/Mizuki, and a picture of all the guys together). The binder has a snap fastener to keep it closed. Also included with the binder is a translucent HanaKimi pencilboard/shitajiki that is different than the one I have pictured at the top of this page. There is also a lovely clear file of Mizuki sleeping on one side and that picture of all the guys sitting on the back. Next is a little postcard with the picture of Sano/Nakatsu/Mizuki/Julia in festival yukata. There is also a little photo album with a plastic cover, a sheet of stickers, and a HanaKimi mechanical pencil with little SD pictures of Sano and Mizuki on it. This is such a cute letter set!
