I looooove Kayaono's artwork~! This is the second of three volumes of her works that I purchased all at once. As usual, Kayono's artwork is clean and solid, and often very detailed. This book contains 4 short stories, all set in modern Tokyo, but two of them have supernatural twists to them. I love the way Kayono draws guys. They look very handsome and bishounen, but in a more realistic way for some reason. Often mangaka draw these ultra skinny bishounen with weird proportions. Kayono strikes a nice balance between stylistic slender bishounen and ultra realistic. Anyway, I am babbling...

Of the three stories, I think I like the second on the best because it is so silly. But the first story is great too. It begins with our heroine, a high school girl named Momoe, hanging out at night in Shibuya, Tokyo. She is chatting on her cellphone when suddenly a guy runs by and steals it right out of her hand! Momoe is not one to take this lightly though, and she chases the guy down, tackles him, and takes her phone back. But wow, what a surprise, the phone thief is a really good looking guy! Not only is he good looking, he is also magical! It seems he is from some sort of spirit world, and is on the run from some dangerous enemies. He needs Momoe's help to find something he's searching for and to stay away from the forces after him so he can return to his world. Momoe is only to happy to help...

Next up is my favorite story. It's about two childhood friends, Yuan (Ewan?) and Ai. They are in high school, but have known each other forever. Yuan is very popular with women, it seems, much to Ai's dismay/disgust. She just barely tolerates his playboy attitude without killing him ^_^ Their relationship gets a little weird when Ai's birthday arrives, and she discovers a card offering her a discount at a rather wild-looking Host club...

Next up is an unlikely romance between a sheltered rich girl from a traditional family, and an outspoken photographer guy she meets one day when she is trying to kill herself by throwing herself off a high balcony. What a way to meet! Finally the last story features yet another unlikely pair- a school girl and a strange guy who appears to eat the spirits of the dead! Is he a demon? A Shinigami? Ahh, a match made in heaven... or wherever... ^_^;
