Flower Comics, 2004

If you have been a reader of my summaries for any amount of time, you should probably have a good idea why I bought this manga ^_^ As I am sure you have noticed, I am a scary fangirl, and this cannot resist the winged bishounen types, and here is one handsome cutie right on the cover! I don’t have anything else by this author in my collection. Her art style is very interesting. I keep waving back and forth on if I like it or not. The winged guy is hot, yes, but the way she draws everything is very light and sketchy. Details such as backgrounds or complete faces can be sketchy. There is a lot implied with this artwork. This being a Flower Comics series, there is a decent (hah!) amount of demonic sex here, so watch out!

And speaking of demons, that is who the cutie on the cover is. The girl is Mariko-chan, and she starts off the series as the shy, quiet type. But all that changes after she finds her boyfriend in the arms of another girl. Understandably depressed, Mari takes the subway home, and is about to be attacked by a groper when she is resuced by Mr. Tall Dark and Demonic in black leather. (demons ride the subway?) His name is Judas (she calls him “Yuda”) and he is quite scary to poor timid Mariko. He walks her home from the train station, and gets a pretty good idea of how shy she is. He kindly offers to become her love, but after some heavy kissing, Mariko is too freaked out, and sends him away. OF COURSE he shows up again when she least expects it, and helps her out of an embarrassing situation. He is difficult to refuse, and soon Yuda and Mariko become lovers. It’s amazing what a little hot demon loving can do for a girl ^_^;; Mariko loosens up (so to speak) and isn’t quite the prim and timid wimp she was before. She gains self-confidence and better fashion sense. But as is common with this type of story, the question that must be answered is can a girl and a demon have a meaningful relationship? Heheheh :D

is not cute like a shoujo manga heroine.
