Manga Works
During a span of over 20 years, Tada-sensei produced over a dozen shoujo manga series. With a unique art style that manages to be messy, delicate, and incredibly expressive all at the same time, she introduced her readers to a wonderful blend of romance and comedy. Her stories went on to influence many shoujo mangaka who followed in her footsteps.
Tada-sensei's most popular and longest-running series is Itazura na Kiss, which spanned 23 volumes, and was, sadly, never finished. It spawned both a Japanese live-action drama, 2 seasons of a Taiwan live-action adaptation, a stage play, an anime series, a Korean live-action drama as well. Tada-sensei's other most noteable work is the 80's shoujo romance, Aishite Night. It also became an animated series that pioneered the art of using original insert songs during an anime, and is notable for having some of the music arranged by Joe Hisaishi, who is famous for his work with Studio Ghibli.
