Endou Makiko is Tsukushi's friend at Eitoku Gakuen. She is a timid girl who is insecure about friendships. She has grown cynical about the strength of friendships amidst the hazing and cruelty at the school. However despite her feelings on the subject, she is too timid to do anything about it. Makiko is always the first to hide behind crowd or run away. However despite this, she IS Tsukushi's friend. Makiko gives Tsukushi the voice memo in episode 1 so that they can keep up a secret conversation by passing the toy back and forth. Makiko is also the source of the invisible ink pen and the light that reveals the ink.
