Shishido Rumi got her start as a winner of some sort of idol contest, and she soon began work doing the usual idol things - singing songs on TV, doing commercials, etc. She has done several other voice roles in anime series, such as the lead character Mikako in Gokinjo Monogatari (Neighborhood Story) and a prominent role in the kids series Ojamajo Doremi. I like Rumi's voice. She sings the opening and closing themes for Neighborhood Story. In 2003 she released a music CD called 'Rumi Roll'. The cover art was done by Ai Yazawa, the manga author of Gokinjo Monogatari, Paradise Kiss, and Nana. Cool! Shishido Rumi's Official Site is here.
