Yamamoto Kouji is the seiyuu for Hanazawa Rui. Isn't he cute? (I think he is! ^_^) It appears that in the years following his role as Rui in HYD, Yamamoto Kouji has gone on to have a career in the Japanese theater. He has been in productions of Les Miserables and Rent. He was also in the TV drama 'Under One Roof'. More recently, he was in the historical TV drama 'Shinsengumi,' and in 2005 he played Ando Ryuta in the TV drama 'Koi ni Ochitara'. (Interestingly, Tanihara Shosuke is also in 'Koi ni Ochitara'. Tanihara Shosuke played Doumyouji in the HYD live action movie ^_^) Another anime role voiced by Yamamoto Kouji was in the recent series Ashita no Nadja where he played the melancholy minstrel Raphael. Kouji gets to sing in that role, and the Nadja soundtracks have a couple of his songs. Wow, he has a really nice voice. No wonder he has done stage musicals! His stage career must be going well. I found several Japanese websites devoted to him!
