Yes! Pretty Cure 5 is the 4th season of the Pretty Cure franchise, and features the 3rd team of girls to transform into Precures. This time instead of just a duo like in Futari wa Pretty Cure and Splash Star we get the more traditional 5-member sentai team structure, similar to that seen in Sailor Moon.
The team leader in this case is a girl named Nozomi. She’s scatterbrained and enthusiastic. Her good points include her willingness to make friends, desire to help others, and her hope for the future. When it comes to daily activities, she is very clumsy. Her athletic skills are weak, her test scores are low, and she still isn’t sure what she wants to do with her life. However, when she meets the fairy Coco who desperately needs help to save his home (the Palmier Kingdom) and to revive his best friend, Nozomi can’t turn him away. With a compassionate spirit, she transforms into Cure Dream. She works to help Coco save his world.
Fortunately for Coco, Nozomi gets some help after she assembles 4 friends and convinces them to become Precures too. Spirited tomboy Rin becomes the orange Cure Rouge, cute aspiring actress Urara becomes yellow Cure Lemonade, gentle, bookish Komachi becomes green Cure Mint, and wealthy student council president Karen becomes blue Cure Aqua. Their powers match their colors and personalities.
The group is joined by two more fairies – the quiet and surly Nuts, and the haughty Milk. They all fight against the awesomely corporate evil forces of Nightmare who wish to acquire the Dream Collet for their own nefarious purposes.
